Aperture3
Pete Webb Photographer writes. Yesterday apple released the third version of Aperture. Aperture3 on the surface to me looked like a waste of an upgrade for a professional that just needs to get work shot, approved and delivered. Things like faces may appeal to some, but to me is an utter waste and to see it as a feature makes me wonder where they are going. I keep waiting for the apple online galleries to have a pick option for the person reviewing the images that feeds back to my library so I can see their picks. And presets for the crop tool. PLEASE.
The merge able and easily selectable, switchable libraries are a god send and I’m sure a lot of the editing tools will enable more work to be done in Aperture before moving in to Photoshop. Making backups at import makes workflow sense, and the import options are now larger and I’m sure will aid the workflow. Once I have had a couple of weeks with it I will update this post and see what makes me jump up and down then,
