Cape Royale- Cape Town, 4 outa 5
The Cape Royale , we used it for the Aigle Asia shoot in Cape Town. I kept hanging my laptop out of the window to show off the new Green Point Stadium that will see world cup matches this summer.
The thing I liked were the rooms are suite style with kitchens so when on a shoot you can really make yourself at home. High standard staff that provide a perfect service, although the manager had a go at me when I tried to stuff all my gear in to a lift. He told me off like I was a school boy. Not quite what I’d expect from the manager. Maybe he was having a bad day. I will only give this hotel 4 out of 5 for this.
The beauty of having your own kitchen is a bonus when just along the road is the off license and a great Italian deli called Giovanis. The Hotel staff will happily run to the offie or Giovanis for you and stock your fridge, You can also walk to the waterfront shopping mall, straight out the front door, cross the road and 5 mins straight on.
Great roof terrace, great spa, great breakfast. Great place to stay.
