Amazing Cinque Terre
Cinque Terre - five villages suspended on cliffs over the Mediterranean. Believe it or not, a mainline railway runs through the cliffs here so you can access all five by train. In fact, this is the quickest way as long as the Italians run the trains they say they are running and from the platform from which they say they are – it’s in the hands of the gods really. You can fly into Genova and jump straight on a train to see these villages. A city break in Genova is like Barcelona before all the tourists arrived. A weekend walking between these villages has to be be a must.
